Acting as either an advocate or project neutral, CPS provides independent third party support to assist in development and facilitation of appropriate action plans for successful realignment. Depending upon the state of the project, a project realignment strategy may have both “retrospective” and “prospective” viewpoints. A retrospective process delves into the causes and responsibilities for project issues, and develops approaches to resolve disputes. Conversely, a prospective process views past actions as “water under the bridge” and concentrates participants’ energies on completing the project. CPS’s goals are to attempt to align parties’ expectations and develop a path to project success.
